Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes and workshops for Beginner and Intermediate students.
It is a myth that we must be flexible to do Yoga. We do not arrive to Yoga with perfect bodies. Through breath and mindful movement we move our bodies and our minds toward wholeness and healing, and we learn to accept ourselves as we are each day.

Vinyasa Flow yoga classes are both a physical challenge and a moving meditation. We start with yogic breathwork (pranayama) and warm up our bodies with gentle movements. We then move into a more rigorous flow where we connect our breath with our movement through various yoga postures.
Modifications are offered for beginners and those with conditions and injuries. We then wind down with relaxing postures and deep rest. In these classes you can expect to build physical strength, balance and stamina. You will also develop a mindfulness practice and better body awareness.
This is a strength-based style of yoga so expect to sweat. At the end of class, you will leave feeling challenged and energised, yet also calm and centred.
With regular attendance you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, to have better balance and to learn mindfulness tools to manage stress.

Please note: a reasonable level of fitness is required for these classes. You should be able to walk briskly for a mile and go up and down stairs without difficulty. Flexibility is NOT a requirement, rather it is one of the benefits gained by practicing yoga. π
After teaching for many years, I have found that students understand yoga poses and yoga concepts better by repeating them. By having a chance to practice a class flow (a sequence of poses) more than once, students feel more confident in their practice and are able to move deeper into their practice, both physically and mentally.
For this reason, I now teach each class flow for 3 to 5 weeks. After 2 weeks, depending on how comfortable students are with a flow, I often add options for progressing their practice by offering more advanced versions of a few of the poses in the flow. Students can choose to try the more advanced option or to stay with the original flow. All of this is queued for the students during class so the options are clear.
Do I have to book the whole class block?
Booking by the block is recommended to encourage regular attendance and enable you to progress your yoga practice. That said, classes can be booked as single one-off classes.
What if I will miss a class in the block?
If you expect to miss a class during a block you have booked, please email info@twistandblissyoga.com and I can arrange for you to attend class on another day to make up for the missed class. Make-up classes are based on availability and are not guaranteed. They are available only within the same term you booked your block of classes and may not be carried forward.
