Welcoming retreats for mothers navigating neurodivergence in themselves, their children or their wider family.
Join us at Twist & Bliss Yoga in Edinburgh for gentle yoga, meaningful conversation and practical ideas to support everyday life — with time to care for yourself, too.

Recent conversations with mothers in our studio community have encouraged me to bring it to life. We’ve talked about recognising neurodivergence in ourselves and our families, finding our way through challenges, and the relief of speaking with someone who understands.
There is so much experience, care and practical knowledge among us. My hope is to bring mothers together in a space where we can rest, learn from one another and build lasting connections.
— Roxanna, founder of Twist & Bliss Yoga
Mothering can hold love, joy, uncertainty and a great deal of responsibility. When you spend so much time considering everyone else’s needs, finding room for your own can be difficult.
Our five-hour retreats offer space to pause, move, reflect and connect with other mothers. Alongside restorative practices, we’ll share ideas that could make everyday family life feel more manageable.
We’ll begin with breathwork, gentle Flow & Restore yoga and meditation. There will be opportunities to move, rest or step away throughout the day, with gentle movement and a relaxing sound bath to finish.
Through individual journalling, relaxed discussion and a creative Post-it wall, we’ll explore where we need support, what is helping us already and what we can learn from one another.
We’ll reflect on our own sensory preferences alongside those of our family members, noticing where needs overlap or differ and considering small changes that might help at home.
We’ll practise simple breathing, mindfulness and movement techniques that can fit into an ordinary day — including those moments when you only have five minutes.
There will also be time to share helpful books, resources and encouraging words. Afterwards, you’ll receive a roundup of the resources discussed.
You might be curious about neurodivergence (Austism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, etc.), newly aware of it within your family, or drawing on years of experience. You might feel well supported or very alone.
You don’t need a diagnosis or previous yoga experience to attend. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and all activities are optional.
You don’t need to arrive with answers or something to contribute. Simply coming along is enough.
Both retreats offer a five-hour experience. We’ve included a weekend and a weekday option to make room for different family routines and caring arrangements.
📍Where: Twist & Bliss Yoga, 42 Silverknowes Road, Edinburgh EH4 5LF.
Prices, session times and supported-place availability are shown when booking. Supported places offer the same full retreat experience at a reduced price for those who would find the standard price difficult to afford.

My hope is for these retreats to grow into an ongoing Mothering Neurodiversity community.
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape what comes next, including a possible monthly women’s circle with yoga, reflection and discussion around books and themes that support our lives.
For now, we begin with a day together: time to rest, connect, share ideas and feel understood.
